Wouldn't it be nice to have a computer that works seamlessly and doesn't lag? Depending on its capabilities, a computer may have a positive or negative impact on your job and studies. If you want to know how to speed up PC capabilities, then here are some tips in order for your system to perform better.

One way of how to speed up PC performance is to edit the programs that start with your computer. For Windows users, all you need to do to edit those programs is to click run, found on the start menu, and enter "MSConfig" in the text box. Doing so will open a new window and the startup tab on this window enables you to edit those programs. If you're using a Mac, open system preferences, click "accounts" and your own account. This will enable access to the login items tab wherein you can edit your those programs.

The services.msc is another command you can enter on the run program. This will enable you to access all the services that show up on your Task Manager. Some of these services are critical to your computer's operation and some only eat up your computer's free memory. If you have a Mac computer, you need not edit these services as its performance is not affected by having a number of them running at the same time.

Hard disk defragmentation will also lead to better system performance. This process may damage files stored in your computer so make sure you back your data first. This will help you get rid of unnecessary files in your computer, freeing up space and improving performance.

Software downloads may also be used to improve computer capabilities. There are many websites that offer downloadable programs on the internet that lead to a faster computer. An example of these programs is Registry Booster. Registry Booster will help you clean your computer's registry by deleting unnecessary registry entries. Unnecessary registry entries eat up computer memory and can be considered as the wastes of an uninstalled program. Using software similar to Registry Booster is one of the safest ways to deal with this.
