It is now possible to work from the comfort of your own home online. Everyone dreams of having their own home business, so why don't more individuals own their own business? Most often the answer lies in not having the initial financial investment funding required to startup a business.

For the most part many of these problems are eliminated by the internet. With very little cash, no computer knowledge and an idea you can try it out for nearly nothing. If this is so, then why do you only ever hear about those select few who do make real money online?

The answer is truly very simple. They have learned the power of "buzz". That is, they know how to get the word out BEFORE the products ever even enter the marketplace. They advertise, they talk, they blog and they tell you that this is the hottest thing to hit the net since 1991.

Most of the entrepreneurs that work from home make enough to be financially secure and they run the whole thing from the corner of the bedroom. All that is needed are a few things and a good idea to work from home on a regular basis. Here is a short list:

1. A computer is ABSOLUTELY necessary. You could go to the library, but that gets old and you have no privacy. Plus your information is not as secure as it would be on your own tube. Start with a laptop which you can get for about $500 now. As you build the business, upgrade to a desktop PC with more memory for file storage.

2. Organizational software like Windows Office. This can be had for $149 and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and one other program I can't recall at the moment. This ensures that your documents will be compatible with 95% of the rest of the world. Excel is great for keeping track of things like inventory, payables, receivables and pending orders or email addresses you need.

3. An idea for a product or service. This is the easy part and should come as naturally as swimming to a fish. Do a little research and see what's out there. Find something that is a bit different or entirely new altogether. Hint: The biggest selling products on the Internet are information products. Simple written material that has educational values.

It is easier to work from home right now than ever before. Online opportunities are everywhere and boundless. Go to one of the larger search engines like Google, Alta Vista, MSN and Yahoo and then type in 'work at home opportunities'. You will be amazed at the choices that are available to you.

The results will astound you and the choices presented to you will literally stymie the imagination.

You will get so many great ideas this way, it isn't even funny. You might see your own idea already in action. You may not see it at all (that's a good thing!). Either way, you will find all the help you need right there waiting for you.

All you need to do is begin. The rest can be history!
